A conference is a gathering of people to discuss and share information, ideas, knowledge and experiences around a chosen theme. Professional conferences are large-scale events or organised gatherings of professionals, scholars and practitioners within a specific field to exchange ideas, discuss advancements, share research findings, and foster networking1-4. They are vital in continuing medical education (CME) for healthcare professionals and can vary significantly in content, participant engagement, format and objectives.

These gatherings enable participants to also discuss innovative practices and explore career opportunities while obtaining essential continuing education credits5, 6.
