Radiographers are vital frontline healthcare professionals responsible for capturing medical images, playing a crucial role in accurate diagnosis and effective interventions within the evolving healthcare landscape. Consequently, it has been identified that continuous professional education (CPE) for radiographers is an indispensable mechanism to provide them with the latest knowledge, skills and experiences related to this fast-evolving field of practice1-5.
The impending requirement of the Singapore Allied Health Professions Council (AHPC) underlines the importance of CPE2-6. It will be rolled out in two phases. The voluntary phase commenced on 1 March 2024. The voluntary phase prepares the radiographers for the mandatory phase, which will commence on 1 January 2026. Fulfilling the CPE requirements is required to renew the Practising Certificate (PC) from 1 January 2026 onwards. A radiographer must acquire 50 points within two years to renew a two-year PC6.
